1989 marked the 20th anniversary of the Pontiac Trans Am and the second time the venerable sports car had been selected to pace the Indy 500.
Approximately 1555 specially equipped 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am coupes were built, and the three track cars were actually selected directly from this pool of production cars, leaving a mere 1,497 available to the public.
This car is one of 1324 with leather interior and glass T-tops.
