Inventory Accounting Costing Coordinator

Description
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
?Verify and enter inventory costs into the company SAP computer software.
?Calculate Customs Duties, Federal Excise Taxes, and cost moving averages on imported merchandise and enter the information into the company SAP computer software.
?Research and resolve SAP conditions vs. invoice pricing issues, and quantity differences.
?Maintain and update supplier information files and SAP costing conditions.
?Work with SWS NY GL Team on monthly reconciliation of inventory cost related issues.
?Work with various departments keeping them informed of cost and gross profit issues.
?Assist in the monthly Physical Inventory and data entry of the inventory counts.
?Assist and reconcile the Physical Inventory discrepancies.
?Reconcile inventory transfers.
?Prepare and direct posting of Batch Adjustments and Floor Stock Adjustments.
?Maintain proper costing for various inventory adjustments and combo creations.
?Resolves internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner, and providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable amount of time.
?Calculate and file claims for shortages and spoilage. Monitor payments on these claims.
?Supports internal and external audit activities, as required, to ensure that auditors are provided with the necessary information to complete their audits timely.
?Perform similar job related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
?Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
?Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
?Proficiency in PC skills, particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications
?One year minimum experience in Inventory Costing
?Basic knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles
?One to two years experience in General Accounting
?College courses in Financial Accounting or related experiences a plus
?Knowledge and experience with SAP Financials a plus
?Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
?Team player, energetic, self starter, motivator
?Critical nature of this job may require extended hours

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
