Senior Mechanical / Project Engineer

Overview Ranked among the nation's top 10 Construction Managers by Engineering News-Record, The LiRo Group provides integrated construction, design and technology solutions for a broad range of public and private sector clients.   Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Sr. Mechanical/Project Engineer for our Long Island office.  Responsibilities Perform PM duties for smaller projects ($5MM construction cost or less) Perform Project Engineering duties for Projects with mechanical construction/project costs up to $15MM Serve as Project Mechanical Engineer leading the mechanical discipline as well as provide guidance to other disciplines for mechanically driven projects The candidate is expected to be capable of developing and managing systems designs for low and high pressure steam plants, chiller plants, gas turbine or internal combustion engine-generator systems and thermal distribution from conception to final design and construction administration The candidate is expected to be knowledgeable in the areas of general HVAC design, equipment selection, piping design, duct design, plant layouts, and preliminary development of P&ID's The candidate is expected to have a rudimentary knowledge of CAD, Revit, Microsoft Office and other commonly used industry software programs The candidate is expected to have good communication skills (written and spoken) and project level leadership and organizational skills The candidate will be expected to be able to work with clients, senior and staff personnel in LiRo in an agreeable and professional manner The candidate would be expected to coordinate work development with admin staff, technical staff, legal group, etc Qualifications 10-15 years of experience in buildings and Central Utilities/CHP system design and analysis Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
