Trade Marketing Manager - Pearl

Summary: Responsible for overseeing field marketing communication with sales force as well as leading field marketing initiatives for Pernod Ricard's portfolio.The position works closely with the supplier, activation leads, and sales leads in the Pearl Division to ensure effective brand activation and marketing amplification across the market. Span of Control: This position may be responsible for the supervision of one or more of the following group(s): - Trade Marketing Coordinator - Multicultural - Trade Marketing Manager - Upstate New York -E-Commerce/Digital Marketing Coordinator Position Responsibilities: Essential functions include but are not limited to: Key role in Development of Marketing strategic direction for the state to drive profit and revenue share growth across the state. Act as "Voice of the Market" to Supplier and Brand marketing to ensure national strategies & tactics are shaped by local market insights and needs. Leverage resources to help portfolio management and commercial teams become experts in generating customer/shopper insights and program activations that deliver exceptional results. Responsible for Incentive Program creation, communication, and administration Work closely with sales team and accounts to amplify brand marketing and activation platforms Partner with Business Intelligence to develop and evaluate SGWS programs that drive share growth. Provide templates and processes for portfolio management. Supplier Innovation/Incubation Manage resources and process for onboarding new brands, and correspondingly Manage process and resources that drive innovation brands. Set objectives, measure program ROI, and provide market-based insights and feedback to sales and marketing management through KPI scorecard process. Partner with Business Intelligence team to provide commercial teams the tools and resources to provide the trade with the ability to be true consultants to driving their businesses. Lead and Manage Brand Muscle account Work with Brand Muscle team and management to help produce best in class print work, selling templates, and POS. Fulfill ad-hoc project and information requests.   Qualifications Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities: Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing or relevant field. Five years of trade/customer marketing and/or sales experience Proficient skills in using MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Good knowledge of Commercial Finance and Pricing practices. Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics. Understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service. Continual self-education and knowledge development of: New and existing trends, styles, and products within the Supplier portfolio as well as competitive brands. Technology platforms and E-commerce for B to C and B to B Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and lead colleagues by example in an intense and fast-paced business environment. Adaptable and able to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types. Must require little direction or supervision; goal-oriented, focused, and assertive. Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain high level of quality output. Strong analytical, leadership and verbal/written communication skills Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expenses. Overnight travel as required. Preferred Qualifications: MA/MBA preferred Seven - Ten years' trade/customer marketing, sales and/or industry experience Previous beverage supplier programming and price structure experience.
