Senior Electrical Engineer

LiRo currently provides the opportunity for a hybrid/flex-hour work schedule. We have an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding MEP design team for our Syosset, LI Office. Responsibilities Coordination with local power utility companies for new/upgrades of electrical service Electrical system analysis and calculations Design of electrical power, control, and lighting systems from service to load Design of fire alarm systems and low voltage systems Service room layout, utility conduit coordination, grounding and lighting protection Prepare design narrative and feasibility reports Electrical & fire alarm field surveys, inspections, and punch lists Photometric calculations using electrical AGI 32 software Electrical analysis using SKM Power Tools software Generator sizing using Cummins Power Suite or comparable software Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCad) Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering 15 -18
years of relevant design experience NYS Professional Engineer required Intimate knowledge of New York City Building Codes and NEC Ability to work independently with general instructions and limited guidance from project leaders and produce the expected results Able meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure Ability to multi-task on several projects at once Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively collaborate during the design and construction process Capable of providing technical direction and on-the-job training to less experienced Electrical Engineers
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
